After the tree cut in spring, the trees drift out strongly. In order not to lose too much energy, the Succhioni (shoots) end August are cut away. At the beginning of August, it is too early to cut the shoots. But I tried it anyway, because we will go to Thun tomorrow. In the past, the summer cut was made regularly in which the Polloni (shoots at the tree foot) and Succhioni (shoots on the branches) are regularly removed. Nowadays, however, the extra effort is no longer worthwhile, most of the time only the Polloni are cut away. That's what my wife Angela does with us.
